2026 Career Development Scholarship Application Review Panel
Overview
The FPSA Foundation is seeking member volunteers to serve as reviewers for the 2026 Career Development Scholarship Program.
About
For many years, the Foundation has supported education and research in the food industry, most notably through this scholarship program. In 2026, five (5) $10,000 scholarships will be awarded to students connected to FPSA member companies who are pursuing careers in food science, food safety, engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, operations, sales, marketing, and related fields.
Your perspective helps ensure we select candidates who represent the future strength of our industry.
Time Commitment
- Application Review Period: Early April through mid-May 2026
- Estimated Time: 3-5 hours total (independent review of assigned applications)
- Optional: Participation in a virtual selection discussion
This is a short-term volunteer role (not a multi-year committee commitment).
Reviewer Responsibilities
- Independently evaluate assigned scholarship applications
- Score applicants using established criteria
- Participate in a final discussion to confirm scholarship recipients
- Maintain confidentiality and objectivity throughout the process
